Zoe Goes Running
Zoe Romano
Zoe Romano

On Friday, May 18th at Shulte & Herr on Cumberland Avenue in Portland, enjoy German food from 5-8:00PM to support our local Club members. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Clubs. Afterwards at 8:00PM, stay late and enjoy a short film and talk about Zoe Romano's run cross-country last year.

Here's her story:

She started January 8, 2011 in Huntington Beach, California. Portland native Zoe Romano ran for four months to benefit Boys & Girls Clubs.

Zoe ran to Charleston, South Carolina. A major goal in her efforts was raising more than $15,000 for Boys & Girls Clubs locally and nationally.

Zoe ran 25-30 miles a day, six days a week and used eight pairs of running shoes, all while pushing a jogger filled with gear.

Her father, Rick Romano, grew up at the former Portland Boys Club and joined Zoe for a couple weeks in the southwest.

Visit the
webpage to learn more about Zoe and to support the Clubs in her honor.

Here's her story on Boys & Girls Clubs of America's
website.
